A generic “4-pin compatible” description does not provide enough information.

When an Aviator Cable Makes Sense for Your Setup

The value of an aviator cable depends on how often the keyboard moves and how difficult the host-side USB connection is to reach. A detachable fitting is most useful when it solves a real access, handling, or desk-layout problem.
