This mouse from MAMBASNAKE really impressed right from the get go. It comes very well packaged giving it a premium feel before you even begin. The mouse itself has a great feel to it and is incredibly lightweight. The fully perforated body adds to the weight loss as well as the perception of it, being able to see inside. The mouse is comfortable to use however although it is ostensibly symmetrical it is really designed for right handed users due to the positioning of the side buttons. Connection options are pretty exhaustive with a USB cable, Bluetooth and 2.4GHz via the included USB adaptor.General responsiveness seems great, with up to a huge 40K DPI and with 1KHz polling when used with the included USB cable or 2.4GHz transceiver..In the past I've had some mice costing many times the current £34 asking price for this mouse and although they were slightly superior, this mouse is great value for money.
Super responsive and very lightweight. I love the wired connection option, which I feel is a necessity for those scenarios where you have not had the opportunity to charge it up! Also looks great with the array of colours that it showcases once connected. I am really impressed by the mouse so far. It is early days and I haven' t yet tested it for gaming, but for general use and it has been performing well!
This lightweight mouse from MAMBASNAKE is quite a delight to use, very responsive and perfectly comfortable for many continuous hours of use with my medium-sized (right) hand. Apart from the forward/reverse buttons on the usual left side this mouse is otherwise symmetrical and should be fine for left-handed users too.The instruction leaflet says the software and drivers will be installed automatically, this is true for the driver but I could not find any way to change the polling rates with the default driver in Windows 11 so had to use a search engine to find a manual download link for MAMBASAKE M2 SERIES and after getting past several promotional pop-ups I finally managed to download a zip file to install the software. Not only does this allow you to change the polling rate for a wired connection or wireless 2.4GHz USB dongle connection (not Bluetooth) but also you can customise the action of all five user buttons and set DPI rates and power management sleep times. For hardcore gamers and other pro users there are also fine-tuned settings for response-times, a choice of 1mm or 2mm for "Lift Of Distance" (sic) and even settings for advanced things like "Ripple Control", "Angle Snap", "Motion Sync" which I did not tinker with but I'm sure will be useful for some people. For basic everyday use I just needed to set the DPI rate to 2400 baud (which is actually the default) and adjusted the polling rate down to 250Hz for improved wireless battery life (I assume the top 1000Hz polling rate is less power efficient in wireless mode but if you are using the mouse with a wired USB cable connection then this does not matter)Two high-quality USB-C cables are included in the package, one is a two-piece extendable coiled cable with a 4-pin "DIN-type" connector which I assume is for use at gaming events/parties, the RGB lighting on the USB plugs is quite eye-catching (but unfortunately not customisable). The other cable has standard USB-A to USB-C connectors and is conveniently long at 160cm, it is nicely flexible too and has a good-quality braided sheath cover. The USB-C port is on the front of the mouse so as long as you have clear space on the desk beyond the mouse mat then this wired connection works very nicely and I did not really notice the cable after a while when trying it out.Overall I really like this mouse, it feels very responsive and the lightweight carbon-fibre casing makes for a very comfortable experience, especially with the mesh frame allowing your palm to breath and not become clammy during long sessions. After testing this out I have continued to use it as my main mouse.(The version I ordered comes with five pieces of black grip tape which can be used to help prevent slippages during gaming sessions but for the time-being and my general daily-use I prefer the feel of the carbon-fibre mesh casing in my hand)
