Interface Overview

  • STATUS CARD Current Real-time: Displays the instantaneous reporting rate (Hz).
  • STATS BOX Average Rate: The average Hz calculated over the duration of the test.
  • STATS BOX Peak Rate: The highest single reporting spike detected.
  • CHART Live Waveform: A real-time graph showing the stability of the signal.
  • INPUT Y-Axis Max: A text input above the chart to adjust the graph's vertical scale (Default: 500).

How to Use

1. Start Testing

  1. Click the red START button.
  2. The status indicator will start pulsing, changing to "RUNNING".

2. Move Your Mouse

  1. You must move your mouse continuously to generate data.
  2. For the most accurate results, move the mouse quickly in large circles.
  3. Observe the real-time Hz counter and the chart waveform.
If the mouse stops moving, the rate will naturally drop to 0 Hz. This is normal behavior.

3. Analyze & Adjust

  1. Check the Peak Rate to see if your mouse hits its advertised speed (e.g., 1000Hz).
  2. Check the Live Waveform for consistency. A flat, stable line is better than a jagged one.
  3. If the graph line goes off the chart, increase the Y-Axis Max value (e.g., change 500 to 1000 or 2000).

4. Reset

  1. Click the CLEAR button to stop the test.
  2. This will wipe all recorded data and reset the graph to zero.

FAQs for Mambasnake Mouse Button Test

What should I do if some buttons do not light up in the test area?

First, make sure you are clicking directly on the correct part of the mouse image and staying inside the test box. If a button or scroll still fails to highlight, try cleaning around the switches, reconnecting the mouse, and testing another USB port or surface. Persistent issues usually point to worn switches or wheel hardware.

Can I use this mouse button test with any gaming or office mouse?

Yes. As long as your operating system recognizes the mouse, the test will respond to its clicks and scrolls. It works for wired and wireless devices, gaming models, and basic office mice.

How can I check scroll up/down with this tool?

Place the cursor over the mouse image and scroll the wheel up and down. The scroll indicators should light up in the correct direction as you move.

What does the Mambasnake mouse button test actually do?

This mouse button test shows whether your main buttons, wheel press, scrolling, and drag actions are detected. When you click or scroll inside the test area, the matching part of the mouse image lights up. If nothing changes, your action may not be registering correctly.

How do I use the test for left/right buttons and wheel press?

Move your cursor into the test area and click directly on the left, right, or middle (wheel) section of the mouse image. Each press should make that area highlight and then return to normal when you release. Repeat several times to see if any press fails to light up or looks delayed.
